Giroud puts on a show, City and Chelsea in pain:
Results, rankings, stats: GOAL takes stock of the matches of the 6th day of the Champions League group stage.
Group E
Chelsea 2–1 Dinamo Zagreb
Already guaranteed to be first, Chelsea still offered a last success in the group stage. Facing a brave team from Zagreb, the Blues won thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling (18th) and Denis Zakaria (30th) and finished top of Group E.
AC Milan 4–0 Red Bull Salzburg:
Olivier Giroud once again made the show with AC Milan. Author of a goal from the head to open the scoring (14th) against Salzburg, the French international distinguished himself on the return from the locker room by a subtle discount for Krunic for the 2-0 (46th), before offering a double thanks to a goal full of opportunism (57th), with the added bonus of applause from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and to top it off a new assist for Junior Messias. Giroud and the Rossoneri will see the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time since the 2012/2014 season.
Group E classification
Chelsea 13 pts (+6)
Milan 10pts (+5)
RB Salzburg 6 pts (-4)
Dinamo Zagreb 4 pts (-7)
